Riding Instructor & Head of Event Planning - Janice left the warm sunny beaches of Florida to join her daughter in expanding Lucky Star Equine. Janice is a riding instructor for riders of all levels and ages. Janice instructs with safety first in mind, second - responsibility, and, of course, having fun! She teaches the students of Lucky Star Equine an incredible sense of accomplishment and self reliance. Janice's creative and organizational skills have made the many activities that Lucky Star offers special beyond compare. From hand made theme chaps and costumes for horses and riders in the parades to horse theme cakes for all the year round events- Janice brings a personal touch to ALL the Lucky Star Equine events. Her creative vision provides themed games on horseback and on foot that incorporate student's skills and knowledge outside of a standard lesson format, thus creating another exciting outlet to test one's riding skills and equine knowledge! Janice is an integral part to Lucky Star Equine shows as the "show mom" for ALL (adults included). Janice pulls the whole program together to make the experience complete! Together, Vanessa and Janice ,a mother/daughter team, make Lucky Star Equine possible for so many other families to safely learn and enjoy the wonderful world of horses! 

Trainer/Instructor - B.S. Equine Science - Vanessa is a professional/certified riding instructor. She has 30 years experience teaching, training, showing, rehabilitating and breeding horses. Vanessa graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Equine Science in 2002 and has since dedicated her time to making "Lucky Star Equine" a dream come true! Growing up in Florida ,Vanessa trained hunter jumpers and western pleasure horses. Since moving to Colorado, she has expanded the teaching program to include rescues. She has rehabilitated and retrained many horses for Lucky Star's teaching program. She raises and trains horses not only for the LSE teaching program, also for clients. Vanessa enjoys training, teaching and showing all around western performance disciplines and groundwork training. In addition to the daily barn and herd health & care management; Vanessa instructs students of all ages, trains horses, coaches Lucky Star Equine's Horse Show Team and offers horsemanship clinics. Vanessa's philosophy is "Natural and Common Sense Horsemanship". Her training program and methods strive to create a safe and solid, understanding and communication between horse and rider. Building a trusting bond between horse and rider is key! Riding should be fun and rewarding for both horse and rider! Whether your riding goals are basic, you need some fine tuning skills for you and your horse, or you desire to excel in the show ring....Vanessa can help you achieve your personal riding goals.
